The YYC500 is a mineral-insulated thermocouple assembly for high-temperature measurement where RTDs reach their limits. Available in K, E, J, T and N calibration with sheath diameters from 0.25 mm upward, it withstands furnace, flue and process temperatures with fast response.
| Thermocouple types | K / E / J / T / N (R, S, B on request) |
|---|---|
| Measuring temperature range | type and sheath-diameter dependent, e.g. K: 500 °C at 0.25 mm sheath |
| Sheath diameter | 0.25 mm and larger |
| Sheath material | Mineral insulated stainless steel |
| Junction type | Insulated or grounded |
| Termination | Connection head or compensating cable |
| Process connection | Thread / flange (optional) |
| Typical media | Gases, flue gas, molten-free liquids, steam |
| Response time | Fast (low thermal mass) |
| Options | Thermowell, transmitter, special lengths |

RTD (YYR500) for accuracy up to ~400 °C; thermocouple (YYC500) for high temperature, robustness and fast response.
Type K is the industrial standard; share your range and atmosphere and we will confirm the best type.
Grounded responds faster but is sensitive to ground loops; insulated suits most transmitters including YYBY100.
